Elite Wardrobe Workshop Series

Cost: R 600 per person

We're planning a series of Elite Wardrobe Workshops in InBloom throughout Winter 2016, for small groups of 12 ladies per workshop (One workshop every 6 weeks)

The idea is to attend either a single (PART 1) or the entire series of these workshops in order to become confident in your own way of dressing & develop immaculate personal style.

Upon confirmation of your booking, you will receive a 10-page questionnaire that needs to be sent back to us to enable us to compile your personalized style report which you will receive in the workshop. We will then continue to have dinner & drinks while engaging in witty, in-depth discussions about:

  • How to develop and/ or grow a brand new style for yourself
  • Your body type and which garment styles work for you & which styles do not
  • How to look at new & emerging trends and work them into your wardrobe with key pieces, season after season
  • What is trendy and new in both InBloom and other of our favorite stores like Zara, Mango, Witchery, Forever New, H&M, River Island, Country Road, Topshop etc.

You will also be added to "The List" as an InBloom VIP, which means you'll be the 1st to view and have the opportunity to purchase our newly received high end designer items listed with My Closet Confidentials

Also be the first to hear about what is next in terms of new brands, new products, new events, pop-up shops and launches ♥

RSVP by sending an email to hello@myclosetconfidentials.co.za or give us a call on 082 629 3919

A new chapter

It's been a while since my last post - blog related - on any platform and I am so keen to be able to get back to writing!

My journey and personal growth in the last 24 months has been amazing and I am very grateful for the people in my life who has been there in different ways, every step of the way. We are all so busy with life, kids, relationships, work etc. and although none of my reasons might deem a legitimate reason for this long abstinence from my 2 big passions in life, the time off has put things in perspective and I honestly feel that I couldn't be in a better position than I am now to be able to do the best work of my career.

It really is an amazing thing when a passion and a career come together.

So here I am. Back to writing. Motivated, empowered and more ambitious than ever.

Love-Your-Life Trick # 3

Find your Feel-Good tune & listen to it often

I love music so I have many "feel-good" songs, and whenever I feel that I have no energy to exercise or I don't have motivation/ inspiration to complete a project, I listen to one of MY songs.

One of my favourites is the "Sunscreen" song (click to listen) by Baz Luhrmann.

It has some really great advice and puts things into perspective for me. My favourite line is: "Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own."

Love-Your-Life Trick #2

Buy yourself a bouquet

A bunch of flowers in your bedroom, kitchen, living room or on your dining room table will bring colourful relief to the gloomiest of days.

Buy a bunch every week to brighten your home.
They will bring inspiration whilst eating your breakfast.

Love-Your-Life Trick # 1

For a self-labelled "blogger" I really am battling to find time (inspiration) to write something (anything) worth reading.

But wait, I'm doing this (research, writing and posting), for ME?!!

It's a new year, I've sold off my business and I'm spending quality time at home, with my 3 gorgeous children, buying furniture, reading books and magazines, having my hair done, inviting friends over for dinner, making and trying new things and just living.

Happily living my life.

Which brought me to this post: about finding happiness.

Finding happiness doesn't necessarily mean major life changes such as quitting/ changing your job,  meeting/ marrying Mr Right or reaching your goal weight. No, it simply means finding out which small things (little personal rituals) gives you the most joy, and then implementing them into your life on a regular basis.

That's it. Easy! Over the next few weeks I'll do posts on some of my own favourite rituals.

Keeping a file of favourites

Anything from inspirational quotes, nice decor, fashion/ beauty tips and images, letters/ cards from friends, some photos : it reminds me of what really matters to me and motivates me to be the best I can be.

And I just have to add, although we live in a digital age where we all have Pinterest to do this, there is something magical and tangible about opening up that "me"-file...

Merry Christmas homeslices!

A very merry and happy Christmas 2013 to all my amazing friends and family all over South Africa. Over the last few years I've been so lucky to have gotten to know and build relationships with the most awesome people and I wish you all the love and prosperity in the world; you do deserve it! May your day today and all other days, truly be, merry and bright, remembering that Christmas is about family and love and togetherness. The prezzies are just a bonus ;)

Look of the day

Jamie Chung looked amazing at the JC Penny Jingle Mingle. Her statement neck piece and dark green pointy heels offer the perfect chic finish to an already glamorous outfit ;)

Colour of the Year 2014

Seeing out one of my favourite colours, Emerald, as the Pantone Colour of the Year 2013 and seeing in the new gorgeous colour for 2014: Radiant Orchid.

This pinkish-purple is going to make its appearance in everything from garments to nail polish to scatter cushions in my wardrobe & home this year. Absolutely love it!
