the new IT ingredient

The latest miracle ingredient causing a stir in the beauty world is sea buckthorn, a berry that grows in places like the Himalayas and Siberia. This coral-colored fruit is labelled an IT- ingredient because it has 15 times more vitamin C than an orange and is full of Omega-7, a fatty acid that is said to help build healthy hair, skin and nails.

Some products already on the market containing sea buckthorn:

Nuance Salma Hayek Anti-Aging Smooth & Firm Elixir
Sea buckthorn extract is one of the main ingredients in this new serum, which is part of beautiful Salma Hayek's beauty brand. Its gel-like texture has a cooling effect and is meant to be applied to cleansed skin.

Amika Hair Care Collection Two brothers have created this 16-product hair-care range which includes sea buckthorn berries in almost all of the 16 products as it promises to leave your locks less prone to damage. There's an anti-frizz oil treatment, a sulfate-free dry shampoo, a blow-dry spray, a hydrating shampoo and a deep conditioning mask. (Go to for more)

Sibu Beauty Range

The range includes day and night moisturizers, an eye cream, face cleansers, serums and an oil to counter age spots and acne. (For more info, go to
